Kalamazoo to Grand Rapids Interurban

The interurban between Kalamazoo and Grand Rapids was well-known for being designed for 70mph running, using third-rail in the country and overhead wire in the cities. It was in operation between 1915 and 1928. Carol Orris has these two articles below about it in her collection, the first one of which covers the Battle Creek to Allegan interurban also, these lines meeting at Montleith Junction just south of Martin. Of course, very little of this line exists today but many historical photos, postcards and paperwork have survived.
