The local approaching Patterson Street, Kalamazoo.
Across Patterson Street Conrail 8219 enters North Kalamazoo Yard.
First job is to back down the
original Grand Trunk line to a company called Hexagon
Honeycomb. The line was severed south of here during a track consolidation
project
in the early 1980's.
Here is the spur into Hexagon
Honeycomb. The company eventually vacated the building
and the next tenant wanted rail service badly but NS would have nothing to do with
them.

in use here.

Meanwhile on the ex-GR&I line to Gran
Rapids, another switch job is backing box cars
into the Green Bay Packaging spur just north of Mosel Ave.
